I do agree that it's hard to vote for Lehner when their backup/1B goalie put up almost the exact same numbers. It's like the team defense and goalie complement each other or something.
That said, the Vezina goes to the " goaltender who is adjudged to be the best at this position." It doesn't say, " goaltender who is adjudged to be the best at this position behind a bad team defense" as Tanner seems to think. For that reason, I'd give it to Bishop. |
